 Fluid Systems Hydrocyclone

The Fluid Systems, Inc. desander units are the result of an intensive research and development program initiated in 1950.Designed by Krebs Engineers, eachhydrocyclone represents a product of advanced design, careful engineering,quality materials and finest workmanship.The interdependence of inlet, vortex and apex orifices are of prime importance to top performance, and for that reason,Krebs Cyclones are designed for easy interchangeability of a wide range of orifice sizes to assure superior results. The material of construction in Krebs Hydrolcyclones are a key to important economies.

 GN ZQJ series desanderZQJ series desander is the second phase solids control equipment in well drilling, the general cones are 8”, 10”, and 12”, mainly separate 47~76μm particle out. According to customers’ treating capacity requirements, choose different quantity cones. GN also provide desander without under fluids shaker.

GN ZQJ series desilter

ZQJ series desilter is the third phase solids control equipments in well drilling mud system, the usual cones are 4”, 5”, and 6”. Used to separate 15~47μm particle out. According to clients’ treating capacity requirements choose different quantity cones.

 Desanders and desilters are drilling rig equipment with a set of hydrocyclones that separates sand and silt from the drilling fluid. Desander is installed after shakers and degasser but before desilter. Desander removes those abrassive solids from the drilling mud which cannot be removed by shakers. Desilting is employed in dams and lakes.

A centrifugal pump is used to pump drilling fluid through the set of hydrocyclones.




Desander For Solids Control

Desander, as stated earlier, have no moving parts. The larger the internal diameter (ID) of the desander is, the greater the amount of drilling fluids it is able to process and the larger the size of the solids removed. Desander (10 in/254 mm Cone) are able to remove roughly 50 percent of those solids within the 40-50 μm (micron) range at a flow rate of 500 US gallons per minute (0.032 m3/s) (USgal/min), while desilter (4 in/101.6 mm Cone) are able to remove approximately 50 percent of those solids within the 15-20 μm (micron) range at a flow rate of 60US gallons per minute (0.0038 m3/s). Micro fine separators are able to remove around 50 percent of those solids within the 10-15 μm (micron) range at a flow rate of 15US gallons per minute (0.00095m3/s). Desander is typically positioned next-to-last in the arrangement of solids control equipment, with decanter centrifuge as the subsequent processing unit. Desander are preceded by gas busters, gumbo removal equipment (if utilized), shale shaker, mud cleaner (if utilized) and vacuum degasser.Desander is widely used in oilfield drilling.
