In drilling waste management,the decanter centrifuge usually sit on a very high decanting centrifuge skid,for solids control,the decanting centrifuge sits on the Mud Tank after the desilter.

With the High Skid for the decanting centrifuge,this will help for discharge of the solids from the centrifuge to the sludge tank.

Decanting centrifuges are mechanical devices used for the separation of solids from slurries in many industrial processes. In oilwell drilling,centrifuges are used to condition drilling fluids by dividing the fluid into
high-density and low-density streams, permitting one to be separated from the other. The division is achieved by accelerated sedimentation. As the drilling fluid is passed through a rapidly rotating bowl, centrifugal
force moves the heavier particles to the bowl wall, where they are scraped toward the underflow (heavy slurry) discharge ports by a concentric auger, also called a scroll or conveyor, which rotates at a slightly slower
rate than the bowl. The separation of the heavier particles divides the processed fluid into two streams: the heavy phase, also called the underflow or cake; and the lighter phase, which is called the overflow, light
slurry, effluent, or centrate.

Flare Ignition Device

Flare ignition device is equiped on the oil and natural gas drilling field in case of flammable and poisonous gas overflow while drilling. The frequancy for the application for thsi device is very low, but it is necessary to keep this device on the drilling site as no accident is minor accident.

Structure of Flare Ignition Device

The flare ignition device has a simple structure of gas guiding pipe and high presure ignition. The ignition is controled by a small control panel installed on the vertical pipe, and at the foot of this device, we design a natural gas tank to store natural gas for igniton. The  potential transformer could convert the the electrical presure from 220 volt to 16000 volt. At connecting point of the flare ignition device to hoses from the drilling site, we install a backfire valve to prevent the fire get in the hose contercurrently.

Once we need a flare ignition device, we also will equip another device which is know as mud gas separater. The gas cut in drilling mud out from the drilling hole gets into the mud gas seperator first, then the gas in the mud will be removed out and guide to the flare igniton device by a hose. The flare ignition device is always installed at lest 50 meters far away from the drilling site.

Some of our customers do the business of drilling waste management, the drier shaker is one of the main equipments in the drilling waste management system.

What is a Drier shaker

When talk about the drilling waste management, we always mention the vertical cutting drier which is used very popular in the system. Regarding the drier shaker, it is the same function with the cutting drier. And seeing from the out shape, it is same structure with the shale shaker, just with more higher force vibration motor and installed with more finer mesh screen.

How the Drier Shaker works

With the high vibration force, the water in the drilling cuttings could be uttermostly separated and through pass the mesh screen. The cuttings would be more drier, that would be easy to treat the cuttings in coming procedure. The fluids out from the drier shaker would be transfered to the centrifuge by a screw pump or slurry pump to separate the more finer solid particals.

Look back for the past year of 2011, GN Solids Control obtain much from every aspects. Depending on the qualified products, GN received many orders from new and old customers. More inportant, we made friends with our customers, GN is gradually confirmed by the clients.

In the coming new year, GN will attend the 12th CIPPE Exhibition in Beijing City and OTC Show in Huston, USA. GN booked large area stand booth for both the exhibition just want to let customer know that GN is professtional in mud solids control and really a manufacturer of genuine and sincere. The new facility under building also prove that GN is always trying to make the best.

The year of 2012 is full of chance and challenge, and GN has been already for them, let’s wait and see.

2 sets mud agitator are waiting to be delivered to Muscat, Oman. Different from our standard agitator, the prime future of these 2 sets agitators is that they have a very long rotationg shaft which is of 3.3 meters.

Our customer will apply the agitators on the cylindrical tanks with depth near 4 meters. The agitator is consist of 15KW electrical motor, gear box and shaft with double impellers. The 3.3 meters long shaft is devided into 2 sections, in order to easy transportation and different purpose in operating. The double layer 950mm diameter impeller is designed as movable as per the customer’s requirements, the joint point of the shaft is between the 2 layers impeller, after removeing the down half section, the agitator still could work.

During the communication with our customer, we suggest to install the stabilizer for the agitator to prevent the shaking when the shaft rotating. Considering there is pipeling opening at the bottom of the tank, our customer design the stabilizer impending with the supports connecting with the tank wall, and they will produce by theirself.

Many persons may hear about the drilling mud solids control. But conerning how to purify the drlling mud, not so many people know well about it. Here we would like to talking about the drilling mud 4 stages solids control and 5 stages purification.

First stage for solids control & purification

Shale shaker is widely known as a solids control equipments used in drilling projects. It is a very basic equipment that could separate the drilling cutting more than 250 microns by fine mesh screens. During this stage, actually, the solids control and purificaion happens at the same time. Just as its name implies, solids control is separate the solids from the fluids, while the drilling cutting and other large size impurities being separated, the drilling mud is purified.

Bentonite’s usefulness in the drilling and geotechnical engineering industry comes from its unique rheological properties. In order to reduce the cost of project, the bentonite is often recycled by using some bentonite recycling equipments. One key equipment we always hear about is vibrosieve.

Fixed on the tank top, the drilling mud feeded by the the pipeline from the rig or slurry pump which is installed on the mud pit firstly flow into the baffle box, then after separating by the fine mesh screen, the drilling cuttings was discharge out of the shaker, while the mud containing the bentonite drop into the tank compartment for next step treatment. Centrifugal Pump with Control Panel

Shortly before,we sent one set SB6x5-12 centrifugal pump with control panel to our Indonesia customer. They are a drilling company, and have their mud recycling system on their work site. After find our products from the internet website, they contact with us and plan to have a try for our products. Happend to that they need a charge pump for their 44OHP mud pump. After some communication on the phone and through the mail, and their once visit to our factory, they placed the order.

This set SB6x5-12 centrifugal pump is consist of Pump head, 37KW electric motor, independent control box.  All the parts are mounted on a skid. Comparing with our usual installation, we did’t weld the the control panel fixed on the skip, but bolt it so that it could be uninstalled easily.
